JSA+Partners, a tight-knit, fast-paced strategic communications agency, is looking for a PR Manager to join our team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a mid-level professional to take ownership of day-to-day client deliverables, execute high-impact PR strategies, and support some of the fastest-growing industries globally, including consumer tech, digital media, and gaming.

The PR Manager will focus on the strategy and execution of work and serve as a trusted day-to-day contact for our clients. You will also act as a brand ambassador for JSA, contributing to the firm's overall visibility and organic growth through networking and industry engagement. ‍Location: Ideally Los Angeles (coming into our HQ office 3-4 days a week), or remote in San Francisco or New York.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Client Management: Manage day-to-day operations and deliverables for key accounts, ensuring excellent client service and relationship maintenance.
• Strategic Execution: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop strategic plans, narratives, positioning, and messaging on behalf of clients while taking ownership of execution.  
• Media Relations: Maintain and develop strong media relationships and secure impactful coverage in outlets spanning tech, business, and entertainment.
• Thought Leadership: Execute thought leadership programs by identifying speaking opportunities, coordinating award submissions, and drafting compelling bylines for client executives.
• Writing: Draft well-written narratives, press releases, pitches, and messaging on behalf of clients.
• Agency Ambassadorship: Act as a brand ambassador for JSA+Partners by networking and contributing to the firm’s visibility.
• New Business Support: Contribute to the agency's growth by identifying potential opportunities.
• AI Innovation: Thoughtfully leverage AI to create efficient workflows for yourself and the entire team.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Experience: 5+ years of public relations experience, ideally at least partly in an agency setting.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
• Industry Knowledge: A genuine interest and /or solid understanding of the consumer technology, digital media, gaming and sports landscapes.
• Communication: Exceptional writing, editing, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Media Savvy: Proven track record of building media relationships and securing earned media results.

JSA+Partners, a Santa Monica-based boutique communications firm, is looking for a Summer 2026 Software Engineer intern to join our team and help us service our clients, ranging from startups to global brands in consumer technology, digital media, and esports & gaming. 

We’re looking for a hardworking, self-starter with some relevant software engineering experience from coursework, past personal projects and, optionally, previous relevant work experience. Because we’re a small shop, you'll get a chance to gain more "hands-on" experience with projects that’ll reach production, participation in client work, development of agile engineering practices, and data measurement and analytics.

While the majority of our crew operates in-person at our Santa Monica headquarters, our engineering team works entirely remote out of Chicago. If you are based in the LA area and are interested in working in-office or in a hybrid capacity, you are certainly invited to join us. For those local to the Chicagoland area, you’ll also have the opportunity for hands-on, in-person collaboration with one of our engineers.

Paid internship opportunity at $18/hour. Minimum of 24 hours per week, up to 40 hours per week. Must be U.S.-based and authorized to work in the U.S. for the duration of the internship without employer visa sponsorship.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Owning small data analysis and visualization projects focused on clients' PR data, primarily in Python.
• Building modular components for our external-facing communications measurement platform, primarily in TypeScript.
• Writing clean, organized, and concise code, including refactoring and tests, to prevent technical debt while moving quickly.
• Developing and optimizing AI workflows for the broader PR team. 
• Serving as a technical liaison to the PR team by helping them prompt AI tools, building rapid solutions to everyday problems, and accelerating their daily workflows.
• Contributing to back end tasks and feature development for candidates with Golang experience.

YOU SHOULD APPLY IF YOU: 

• Are currently enrolled in a university or college as an undergraduate, master's student, or are a recent graduate in computer science, data science, or a related field
• Have strong foundational experience in TypeScript and/or Python
• Are highly organized, value clean code, and understand the importance of managing technical debt
• Actively use AI coding assistants in your workflow (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Cline, or similar tools)
• Have hands-on experience cleaning, processing, and visualizing data using tools like Pandas, Matplotlib, Seaborn, D3.js, or Chart.js
• Are comfortable using Git for version control
• Are an effective communicator who can explain technical concepts and AI workflows to non-technical teammates
• Can work independently and productively in a fast-paced, remote environment
• Care about clients in consumer tech, digital media, esports, gaming, sports, and the creator economy
• Have a hunger and desire to grow as a software developer

BONUS POINTS:

• Previous software engineering or data science internship experience
• Experience with SvelteKit (a huge plus!) or Golang
• Familiarity with GitHub Projects and pull request workflows
